My OTP code isn't working

Braandly emails you a one-time code (an OTP) to verify your email and to reset your password. If a code will not work, it is usually expired, already used, mistyped, or the newest code has replaced it. Work through these checks.

Enter the code exactly

The code is case-sensitive and contains letters as well as numbers, so enter it exactly as shown, including capital letters. Copy and paste it where you can, and make sure you have not picked up a stray space at the start or end.

The code expires quickly

A verification code is valid for about 10 minutes. After that it stops working and you need a new one. If more than a few minutes have passed since the email arrived, request a fresh code and use it right away.

Use the newest code

Each time you request a code, the previous one stops working. If you asked for more than one, only the most recent email will work. Use the latest code, and delete the older emails so you do not copy the wrong one.

Each code works once

A code can only be used a single time. If you already verified with it, it will not work again, and you will see a note that it has been used or has expired. Request a new one and continue.

After too many wrong tries

If you enter the wrong code too many times, that code is locked for security and cannot be reused. Request a new code and enter it carefully.

When in doubt, request a fresh code and use it immediately. A new code always replaces the old one, so the newest email is the one to trust.

Not receiving the email?

  • Check your spam or junk folder.
  • Wait a moment before requesting another. There is a limit on how many codes you can request in a short time, so requesting repeatedly can hold up the next one.
  • Make sure you are checking the same email address you used for your account.
  • Add Braandly to your safe senders so future codes reach your inbox.

If you just signed up and no code arrived, request one from the verification screen, since the first email can occasionally be delayed.
