You can cancel a paid plan yourself from your billing settings. Cancelling is confirmed with a code sent to your email, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Before you start
Make sure you can receive email at the address on your account. Cancellation cannot be completed without the code sent there.
Cancel your plan
- Open billing in settings, under Billing & Subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Read what you will lose, then click Continue. To stop here instead, click Keep Subscription.
- Check your email for a 6-digit code and enter it.
- Click Confirm Cancel.
You will see a confirmation with the date your access ends, and your subscription status changes to Cancelling.
The code expires after 30 minutes. If it does not arrive, wait for the resend timer to finish and click Resend code. There is a short cooldown between requests.
When your access ends
Cancelling does not end your plan immediately. You keep every paid feature until the end of your current billing period, and you are not charged again.
When that period ends, your workspace moves to the free Starter plan and its limits apply from then on.
What happens to your work
Nothing is deleted when you downgrade. Brands, guidelines, Brinks, and files stay exactly where they are.
What changes is what you can add. If you are above a Starter limit, you keep everything you already have, but you cannot create more of that item until you are back under the limit or on a paid plan again. See plan limits explained for how each limit behaves.
If you change your mind
There is no undo for a cancellation inside Braandly. If you cancel and then want to stay, subscribe again from the pricing page. Doing that before your paid period ends keeps your access unbroken.
Whichever provider you are on
The steps above are the same for both payment providers. Paddle customers also have a self-service billing portal, opened with Manage Subscriptions in billing settings, where a cancellation can be started or reversed on Paddle's side. Paystack has no customer portal, so for Paystack the in-app cancellation above is the way to do it. See payment methods.
If a Paystack cancellation fails with an error about a missing token, it cannot be completed automatically. Contact support and it will be handled for you.
Troubleshooting
Why can't I see Cancel Subscription? The button is hidden once a cancellation is already pending, and it does not come back. If your subscription shows Cancelling or Canceled, it is already scheduled to end and there is nothing left to do. This is not a difference between payment providers, and the button behaves the same way on Paddle and Paystack.
If your plan looks fully active and the button is still missing, your subscription may be carrying a cancellation that was started earlier, including one scheduled directly in Paddle. Paddle customers can check and change that under Manage Subscriptions. On Paystack, or if the state looks wrong either way, contact support.
Why am I still being charged after cancelling? Check the date on your confirmation. Cancelling stops the next renewal, so a charge taken before your period ends is one you had already agreed to. If a charge lands after your access should have ended, contact support with the receipt.
I cancelled by mistake. There is no undo. Subscribe again from the pricing page before your paid period ends and your access carries on uninterrupted.
Refunds
Cancelling stops future charges. It does not refund the period you are in. Refunds are governed by the refund policy, and how to request a refund covers what to send.
