The free image converter has ready-made presets that set the format, size, and background for common destinations, so you do not have to look up dimensions. This is a reference for what each preset does.

Use a preset

  1. Open the image converter and add your image.
  2. Under Export for platform, pick a destination.
  3. Download the result.

The four most-used destinations also appear as quick chips above the list. To go back to your own settings, click Clear preset.

Picking a preset overwrites your format and size settings. Anything you change afterwards sticks, so you can use a preset as a starting point and adjust from there.

The presets

Instagram PostJPEG1080 × 1080White

Images are fitted inside the target size rather than cropped, so nothing is cut off. A shape that does not match the target leaves space at the edges, filled with the background color.

Figma Export (2×) does not scale your image. It sets the output to PNG and keeps the original dimensions. Export at the size you want from Figma, then use this preset to guarantee a lossless PNG.

Presets marked "Unchanged" leave your current background setting alone, which keeps transparency if your source image has it. The white-background presets are for platforms that do not handle transparency well.

Favicon (ICO) builds a multi-size icon containing 16, 32, 48, and 64 px versions in one file. See how to create a favicon for where the file goes.

Setting a size yourself

If no preset fits, use How to size it:

  • Keep original leaves the dimensions alone.
  • Max dimension shrinks the longer side to a limit you set and keeps the proportions.
  • Custom takes an exact width and height.

For JPEG and WebP you also get an Image quality slider. 92 is a good balance between size and appearance. PNG is lossless, so it has no quality setting.

Good to know

  • You can convert up to 10 files at once. With more than one result, use Download all as ZIP.
  • Everything runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded, there is no file size limit, and you do not need to sign in.
  • Strip EXIF metadata is on by default for JPEGs, which removes GPS, camera, and serial number data before you publish.
