Your plan sets how many Brink subscribers a workspace can hold. The important part, and the part people expect to work the other way, is that reaching the limit never blocks the people signing up.
The cap is per workspace
Subscribers are counted across the whole workspace, not per Brink. Three Brinks in one workspace share one allowance.
The count is measured against the workspace owner's plan. If you are a member of someone else's workspace, their plan sets the limit, not yours. See plan limits explained for the numbers.
Your visitors are never blocked
When a workspace is at its cap, the subscribe form on your public Brink keeps working. Visitors can still sign up, and their details are still stored.
This is deliberate. A limit should not cost you an audience you have already earned, so sign-ups collected above your cap are kept and are there waiting when you upgrade.
Because sign-ups continue past the cap, your subscriber count can read as over the limit. That is expected, not an error.
What stops at the cap
What the limit restricts is adding subscribers yourself:
- Add Subscriber is disabled.
- Import is disabled.
Both show the same explanation when you hover them: "Brink subscribers limit reached. Upgrade to add more subscribers."
Everything else continues. You can still view your list, filter it, export, and send messages to subscribers.
Seeing where you stand
The subscribers page shows a usage bar with your current count against your allowance. It warns as you get close, and changes to a limit-reached message at the cap. If you own the workspace it includes an upgrade option. If you do not, it tells you to ask the owner.
Getting back under the limit
Two options:
- Upgrade the plan. The higher allowance applies as soon as payment is confirmed, and any subscribers collected above the old cap are already there.
- Clear out inactive subscribers. Unsubscribing or removing people you no longer need brings the count down.
