Manage your saved palettes, gradients, and fonts

Asset Collections is where the color palettes, gradients, and fonts you have kept from Braandly's catalog live. It is a library of design choices, not a file store, so logos and images are not kept here.

What's in it

Open Asset Collections in the sidebar and you get three areas:

  • My Palettes, your color palettes.
  • My Gradients, your gradients.
  • My Fonts, the typefaces you have kept.

Each shows how many items you have, and the hub lists your collections together.

Collections belong to the workspace, not to you personally. Anything you save is visible to your teammates in that workspace, and switching workspace changes what you see.

Saved and liked are different

Palettes and gradients have two tabs, and the difference matters:

  • Saved means the item is part of this workspace's collection. This is the one to use for palettes you intend to work with.
  • Liked is a bookmark. Use it to keep track of something you found and might want later.

Fonts work differently: they have Liked only. There is no saving for fonts.

Adding to your collection

To save a palette or gradient, open it in the palette generator or gradient generator and click Save. The button turns into Unsave once it is in your collection.

To like anything, open the menu on its card and choose Like Palette or Like Gradient. Fonts use the heart icon on the card.

Saving is only available from the generators. Browsing the explore pages you can like an item but not save it, so if you want a palette in your collection, open it in the generator first.

Removing things

Unliking is done from the item's card menu, using Unlike Palette or Unlike Gradient, or the heart icon for fonts.

Unsaving works differently and catches people out. There is no remove control on the collection page itself. To unsave a palette or gradient, open it in the generator again and click Unsave.

Exporting a palette

Palettes have the fullest export options. From a palette's card menu, Export Palette offers CSS, SCSS, Tailwind, JSON, JavaScript and TypeScript, Flutter, SwiftUI, Android, SVG, an image, and a PDF, so you can hand your colors straight to whoever needs them.

Gradients export as CSS with Copy CSS Code, or as an image with Download as Image. Fonts offer Copy Font Name, View Font, and Download.

Limits

Saved palettes and saved gradients count towards your plan's allowance, shown as a usage bar on each page. The allowance is measured against the workspace owner's plan, so in a workspace you do not own, the owner's plan applies. Liked fonts are not capped.

When you reach the allowance you cannot save more of that type until you free some up or upgrade. See plan limits explained.

What is not here

  • No file uploads. Asset Collections holds catalog items, not files you upload.
  • No link to a brand's identity. Saving a palette does not add it to a brand. Brand colors are set on the brand itself. See edit your brand identity.
