AI credits and limits

Braandly's AI features run on credits. Paid plans come with an allowance of credits, and different AI actions cost different amounts. This guide explains how credits work, how many each plan includes, what uses them, and how they expire.

How credits work

  • Paid plans include an allowance of AI credits.
  • Each AI action spends credits from your balance. Larger jobs cost more than small ones.
  • When you run low, you can upgrade for a larger allowance.
  • Failed AI actions are refunded, so a job that errors does not cost you credits.

Your current balance is shown in your billing settings. That is the place to check what you have.

How many credits each plan includes

The free Starter plan has no recurring AI credit allowance, so the paid AI features are not meant to run on it day to day. New accounts do get a one-time bonus of 100 credits when they verify their email, enough to try a few AI actions. Your brand health score is the exception, since it uses no credits at all. Paid plans include a recurring allowance that grows with the tier:

PlanMonthlyYearly
StarterNoneNone
Plus4005,000
Pro2,05025,000
Ultimate8,300100,000

Credit allowances and the cost of each AI action can change. Use these numbers to compare the plans, and check your billing settings for your current balance.

Monthly vs yearly

Monthly and yearly plans hand out credits differently:

  • Yearly grants your full annual allowance up front, at the start of your subscription.
  • Monthly grants a portion each billing cycle, roughly a twelfth of the yearly amount.

So a yearly plan gives you a large balance to draw on across the year, while a monthly plan tops up in smaller amounts each month.

Credits expire

How long credits last depends on your billing cycle:

  • Yearly plans: your annual grant stays valid for the length of your subscription term, so you have the full year to spend it.
  • Monthly plans: each cycle's credits last around 120 days, which comfortably covers the month until your next top-up.

Credits are always spent oldest-first, so the ones closest to expiring are used before newer ones. If your balance drops without spending, expiry is the likely reason.

What uses credits

Most AI features draw from your balance. The costs below are a guide and can change:

ActionCredits

Medium AI text help5

Long AI text help / doc editing8

AI text help covers actions inside docs, tasks, and comments such as summarise, rewrite, translate, and expand.

Sharing credits with your team

On the Ultimate plan, AI credits can be shared across your workspace, so your team draws from one balance. On other plans, credits are per account.
